Airborne Patrols

Homestead features AI-controlled aircraft that roam the skies:

• Planes begin spawning after a short delay when players are online.
• Up to 5 aircraft can be active at once.
• They fly both day and night, sometimes randomly overflying players.
• If spotted, they may drop paratrooper squads on your location.

When this happens, you’ll see warnings like “Incoming Aircraft” or “You were spotted!” — time to take cover!

Paratrooper AI

When planes drop paratroopers, expect groups of 1–4 AI soldiers. They’re armed and can be looted after defeat.

• They react to gunfire up to 900m away.
• They detect players at ranges of 500m+, so sneaking helps.
• AI accuracy ranges from decent to deadly — don’t underestimate them!

Tip: Take them down quickly before they spread out and flank you.

General AI Behavior

• Accuracy: AI aim ranges from 45% to 97% depending on difficulty.
• Damage: AI deal slightly more than players (x1.1) but take normal damage.
• Threat Range: They will engage if you’re within ~1000m.
• Noise: Gunshots within ~500m may draw them to investigate.
• Manners: AI don’t follow PvP rules — they attack if hostile.

Good to know: AI can vault obstacles and move in formations. Treat them like smart human enemies.

Survival Tips

• When you see or hear a warning, go for cover immediately.
• Use silenced weapons to reduce your noise footprint.
• Travel in groups — AI can overwhelm solo players if you’re unprepared.
• Always loot defeated AI — they carry gear, ammo, and supplies worth the fight.
